Las Manos Que Curan | Ancestral Healing Oil
For the hands that heal, the hearts that hold, and those who deserve to be held, too.
Para sanar, cuidar y recibir cuidado.
Rooted in Mexican curanderismo, Las Manos Que Curan is a ritual oil created with intentions of healing, comfort, compassion, protection, and restoration. It is for those who offer care to others and those who are learning to receive that same tenderness themselves.
An Oil Honoring the Healing Ancestors
This limited batch will be consecrated upon Las Manos Que Curan, my ofrenda at the Nave Museum’s 2026 Día de los Muertos exhibition.
Created as a traditional curandera’s working table, the altar will hold healing herbs, sacred tools, copal, candles, and offerings welcoming home the spirits of those who dedicated their lives to healing.
Among those honored are Don Pedrito Jaramillo, El Niño Fidencio, María Sabina, Elena Avila, my own grandmother, and countless other healers whose wisdom continues to live through the generations.
Throughout the exhibition, this oil will rest upon the altar, surrounded by their photographs and offerings, receiving prayers and intentions of gratitude, remembrance, and healing.
Each bottle will carry the intention of honoring their legacy while offering comfort to those continuing the sacred work of caring for others.
For Giving and Receiving Healing
Las Manos Que Curan was created for parents, caregivers, curanderas, therapists, Reiki practitioners, healthcare workers, and anyone who holds space for others.
Use it to anoint your hands before prayer or healing rituals, as a comforting part of your own self-care practice, or when setting intentions for the well-being of someone you love.
Above all, this oil is a reminder that healing is not only something we offer. It is something we deserve to receive.
A Prayer for Healing Hands
May the hands that offer healing also receive it.
May those who hold others be held in love, comfort, and care.
Que las manos que curan también sean sanadas.
Amen.
